Synopsis: In a bad part of the city, Ken Carter (Samuel Jackson) is asked to coach a dysfunctional basketball team. They’re involved in gangs, pregnancy, drugs and alcohol, and they have a disregard for authority and education. It becomes clear that one of the reasons they’re in this situation is because everyone has accepted this as their quality of life. Coach Carter is out to change this mentality and, along the way, just maybe win some basketball games and help these players become a team.

Great Quote: “I came to coach and you became students. I came to teach boys, but you became men.”
